Employer-branding event for Robinson Reisen with a branded UpReach Pro V1
Tour operators live on the atmosphere of their destinations — yet most staff only ever experience that brand world through sales or marketing material. At its internal employer-branding event, Robinson Reisen wanted to make exactly that brand world tangible for its staff. UpReach supplied an UpReach Pro V1 bespoke-branded in the Robinson CI with curated destination backgrounds from the Robinson image world. Staff created personalised photo take-aways in front of paradise settings — an internal touchpoint that makes the company's brand DNA emotionally accessible.

More than 200 B2B brands from across Europe trust UpReach — from agencies to enterprise corporations.
The initial situation
Employer-branding events inside travel companies face a particular challenge: the brand sells aspirational experiences, but the internal event takes place in the office or a conference venue. The gap between what the brand sells and what staff experience internally can undermine emotional attachment to their own brand.
For its employer-branding event, Robinson wanted a format that brings the paradise brand world directly into the event space — as an emotional anchor for the company's values and self-image. Plain image walls or slideshows are not enough for that. Staff should become part of the brand world themselves — and take a personal souvenir home.
Operationally it was important that the system felt high-quality — the Robinson brand world has a clear premium standard. The hardware had to blend fully into the Robinson CI, with no visible UpReach branding. And it had to serve a high throughput of many staff in a limited event window — with no long queues.
The UpReach solution
UpReach supplied an UpReach Pro V1 with a bespoke wrap in the full Robinson brand design. The housing was architecturally integrated into the event space — no UpReach logo in the staff's field of view, full Robinson CI on every visible surface.
The software UI ran in the Robinson design: brand colours, typography, branding elements. The background library consisted of curated Robinson destination worlds — paradise settings from the Robinson portfolio, held in the brand's visual language. AI background removal ran in real time, GDPR-compliant with consent at the terminal. Staff could choose between three output formats — single photo, GIF, Boomerang — and take their Robinson brand-world shot home as a digital memento.
The software supported high throughput: the selection, photo and delivery per staff member were handled in under a minute. Digital delivery went straight to the staff smartphone via QR code — no queue at a printer, no bottlenecks. More on the hardware: /produkte/pro-v1.

Setup & Logistics
Lead time 4 weeks: 1 week to design and produce the wrap in the full Robinson brand design, 1 week to curate the destination backgrounds from Robinson image material in close coordination with Robinson marketing, 1 week for the UI configuration in the brand design and the photo-delivery logic, 1 week for GDPR approval (internal staff data processing) and end-to-end testing.
Build at the event location by an UpReach technician, with camera calibration to the lighting of the event venue. Briefing for the Robinson event team: operation in kiosk mode, handling standard situations.
During the event: remote monitoring via the cloud dashboard. Sessions and the distribution of chosen backgrounds and output formats were available in real time. After the event, the hardware was dismantled and prepared for the next event activation.

fully bespoke branding

visible UpReach branding elements
The full integration of the UpReach Pro V1 into the Robinson CI ensured that the photo station did not feel like a foreign object in the event space, but a native part of the Robinson brand world. Staff experienced the brand not as outsiders but as part of it — and took their personalised photo take-away home.
The curated destination backgrounds anchored the brand world clearly: every photo shows a real Robinson destination, not a generic beach. The take-aways keep working in the staff's surroundings — as a personal reminder of the brand they work for.
The format worked as an internal touchpoint for employer-branding goals: staff retention, brand identification, team spirit. The emotional component of a travel brand became tangible at the internal event — a prerequisite for staff to carry the brand authentically to the outside world.
Key takeaways from this setup
Employer-branding activations need full brand immersion: staff are the most critical brand observers — they spot immediately when an external system feels like a foreign object at the event. A full wrap in the brand design, a UI in the CI and curated content from the official image material are the minimum requirement. Half-hearted co-branding looks unprofessional.
Take-aways carry the brand world out of the event: a photo take-away is more than an event note — it is a persistent brand touchpoint in the staff member's everyday life. On the smartphone wallpaper, shared with the family, remembered later. This persistence is the real lever of employer-branding photo activations.
Travel brands need real destination images: generic beach backdrops dilute the brand identity. Curated backgrounds from the brand's official image material — the destinations the company actually sells — anchor the activation in the real brand world. That is the difference between any old photo booth and a brand activation.
